SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Shift Leader to manage the daily operations of our fast-paced and dynamic restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in leading and managing restaurant teams, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and achieving financial objectives. As the Restaurant Shift Leader, you will play a pivotal role in helping our Restaurant General Manager drive our restaurant's growth, profitability and reputation for excellence.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including team management, guest service, food quality control and financial performance
• Assist Restaurant General Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising a diverse group of restaurant team members, ensuring high levels of performance, productivity and engagement
• Maintain a positive and motivating work environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, sanitation standards and compliance requirements
• Manage team members to meet the needs of the business to provide outstanding guest service while maintaining financial responsibility
• Assist Restaurant General Manager with inventory control and purchasing processes to minimize expenses and maximize profitability
• Successfully communicate company changes/focus to the team
• Assist with local marketing opportunities
• Monitor guest feedback, address concerns promptly and implement corrective actions to improve guest satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Restaurant Shift Leader or in a similar leadership role
• Food safety certification required according to local and state regulations
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, people management and guest service principles along with financial acumen and ability to understand budget plans, analyze financial data and control expenses
• Good leadership skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, motivate team and resolve conflicts constructively
• Open availability required
• Ability to use a PC and Microsoft office software
• Ability to speak, read and understand the primary language of the work location
• Commitment to providing exceptional guest service and creating a positive and welcoming guest experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing, and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold equipment in a fast- paced environment. Must also have the ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
