JOB SUMMARY

The Director of National Commercial Sales is a key leader within our Commercial (B2B) Customer segment and responsible for driving revenue growth. Responsibilities include developing growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Identifying new sources of revenue, deepening customer understanding and relationships. Will drive increased sales pipeline, improve close rates, and lead a team of external national and regional sales executives. Monitor market conditions and competitive landscape to develop recommendations that ensure a competitive edge in the long distance and local moving and storage industry. Works closely with all internal partners (including but not limited to; Marketing, Logistics, Operations, Revenue Management, Call Center, Finance and IT) to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Will understand strategic selling to decision makers and influencers in small businesses and large corporations, has proven capabilities to seek new businesses, has built strong portfolio on their own, thrives on metrics and has the ability to lead at both strategic and tactical levels and has a demonstrated ability to drive market game-changing ideas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.

• Create and communicate sales goals and ensure leadership is informed on the progress of those goals.

• Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.

• Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.

• Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.

• Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.

• Assist with implementation of strategic sales plans, ensuring they are in alignment with corporate objectives.

• Understand and manage standards, metrics, performance criteria, policies and procedures to continuously improve productivity.

• Work with management on forecasting activities and sets performance goals and objectives accordingly.

• Maintain healthy and sustainable sales pipeline.

• Attend and maximize conferences and trade shows.

• Develop talent, strengthen employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

• Review and develop sales approaches and provide guidelines and best practices for maintaining competitive edge.

• Understand tools and technology used to manage KPIs and SLAs.

• Maintain staffing levels to support business needs.

• Oversee relationships with partners.

• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• MBA preferred.

• 8-10 years of overall experience in sales.

• 5-8 years of managerial and executive sales leadership experience.

• Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties. Strong experience in reporting and excel.
