Podiatry office looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for both front and back office to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in medical administrative support and a passion for patient service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records
- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures and examinations as needed
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and internal medicine practices
- Proficient in medication administration and familiar with hospital medicine protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Previous experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is preferred
