Description

DiaMedical USA is a fast-growing medical equipment distributor looking to fill a Marketing Manager position in our Farmington Hills, MI office. The Graphic Designer primarily provides support with catalog, packaging, imagery, and sales collateral creation and assists to ensure that media requirements & initiatives are consistent with the DiaMedical brand. This role requires exceptional attention to details and a commitment to complete tasks on time and error-free. A faster-than-average pace in a stable work environment allows this position to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand.

Key Responsibilities and other duties as assigned:

  • Develops and produces creative designs across multiple channels including: catalogs, sales collateral, corporate marketing materials, packaging, tradeshow booth and collateral, private label product development, promotional items, logos, and web design.
  • Presents multiple, innovative concepts with justification for the team to select for marketing initiatives.
  • Studies creative briefs, determines requirements, and translates those ideas into design.
  • Reviews proofs and provides final version for approval.
  • Creates and maintains a repository of Photoshopped product images aligned to brand standards for catalog, web, and print media use.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to produce high quality, influential tools to drive business growth.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all records including but not limited to, products, demographic information, website information, graphic designs, and proofs; as this information is the sole property of DiaMedical, not to be distributed, sold, or used as a bargaining mechanism with any or all other companies.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Marketing, or closely related discipline; and 2 years of experience at an organization with an in-house creative team or at an advertising agency. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Illustrator, in addition to other design tools to develop assets for various mediums.
  • Ability to edit and color correct images with experience in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with print catalogs and/or multi-page publications a plus.
  • Experience with product packaging a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel a plus.
  • Strong typographic skills.
  • Keen eye for aesthetics, features, branding, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks with changing business priorities and deadlines.
  • Resourceful, strategic, and creative thinker.
  • Passion for design, desire for learning, and drive for continuous growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong and effective internal cross-functional relationships.
  • Positive team player who identifies opportunities, provides solutions, and leads other team members to be change agents.
