We are seeking a Senior Electronic Assembly Technician to join our assembly and manufacturing team for electronic modules, PCBs, cable assemblies, electronic sub-assemblies, automated test equipment, and test systems. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager of PCI Aviation, San Antonio, TX.
• Follow drawings to assemble cable assemblies, electronic modules, and test equipment• Assemble and test electronic systems, components, subsystems, or circuits for use within automated test systems• Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts• Perform minor repairs as needed• Ensure systems and components are assembled in adherence with established specifications• Follow the company’s Quality Management System and procedures• Participate in peer reviews of assembled items• Support the packaging and shipment of completed manufactured items• Red-line drawings as required• Mentor/Lead less experienced Technicians• Other related duties as assigned
• U.S. Citizenship, able to obtain a security clearance• Must have at least 7-10 years of related experience• Soldering skillset/IPC certifiable• Experience using crimping tools i.e., Molex, Daniels, etc. (preferred)• Cable assembly experience required• System integration experience a plus• Specific experience working with DoD automated test equipment (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending and reaching. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to twenty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. While performing the duties of this job, the employees are regularly required to sit, use their hands and fingers to type, and talk or hear.
