PMHCC, INC. is Hiring a Senior Business Data Analyst Near Philadelphia, PA
The Enterprise Data Services (EDS) group, within the Office of the Chief Digital Officer (OCDO). oversees the data architecture, data integration, data warehousing, data quality assurance, and business intelligence for the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DEHIDS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis using various tools and techniques to extract valuable insights and trends from large datasets.
- Create visually engaging and informative reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain business process models and data models to support business requirements. analytics, and forecasting.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity by implementing data quality checks, cleansing, and validation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights to drive business improvements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization’s data strategy and data governance framework.
- Stay up to date with the latest data analytics tools and technologies and recommend and implement new solutions when necessary.
- Mentor and guide other staff within the unit, providing technical expertise and promoting best practices.
- Effectively communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, making data-driven insights accessible to all.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI).
- Proficiency project management tools (e.g., Asana, Wrike. MS Projects).
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, and collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of business operations and objectives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science. Statistics, Business Analytics)
Minimum of three years of experience:
- acquiring and using data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV. Excel, etc.) from various sources (APIs, files downloaded from the web, hand-curated datasets, packages of scripts, etc.)
- with SQL database queries and reporting
- with data warehousing and data pipelines
- checking data for accuracy at both individual data point and summary level
