Responsibilities and Duties:
Conducts business process analyses and needs assessments to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Prepares functional, system and programming specifications using industry accepted practices. Leads requirements gathering for new system interfaces, develops business cases, researches technologies, directs, schedules and assists in the development/configuration, testing and implementation of applications used in departmental systems. Will work under the direction of Project Managers in variety of projects which include current system modifications & enhancements and new development with COTS or internally developed applications. Participates in application testing and user acceptance. Provides business and technical expertise when modifications and/or enhancements to data or applications are requested. Participates and/or leads training efforts to ensure the business community’s needs are met. Acts as second and third level support for Production incidents and provides assistance in troubleshooting which may include working with vendors and technical staff to resolve.
