The Field Technician is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at customer sites including but not limited to loading and unloading tools, raw materials, equipment, and supplies. This position takes an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency projects.
What you'll do on a typical day:
* Operate various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop including but not limited to; pressure washers and jetters
* Support various environmental projects such as:
- Confined Space Entry
- Trailer jetter operation
- Power washing
- Assist vacuum truck operators with hose
- Waterway response
- Hazardous materials clean up
- Manifesting and labeling of containerized waste
* Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
* Other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
* Valid Chauffeur driver's license with a clean driving record, required
* Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
* Pass pre-employment background check and drug test, required
* 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
* Flexibility to changes in work schedule and availability for on-call
* Provide above excellent customer service when dealing with clients and co-workers
What the work environment looks like:
* Working in a variety of weather conditions
* Performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, under direction of crew leads
* Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
* Located in Byron Center, MI, no remote work available
* Full-time position with room for advancement
