Job Summary:

Residential Electrical Foreman will be installing wiring and electrical components for residential and commercial projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Provide instructions and assistance to team on a daily basis.

· Approve Timesheets for team on a weekly basis.

· Implement performance improvement plans, coaching and disciplinary action as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The principal responsibilities of the Residential Electrical Foreman shall consist of, but are not limited to the following:

· Communicate with Contractor’s site supervisor with project updates and questions

· Ability to read and understand electrical and architectural design plans

· Maintain communication with superintendent regarding project updates and concerns

· Ability to foresee issues on site regarding safety, project scope issues etc

· Provide daily assistance and delegate tasks to the rest of the team

· Always maintain supervision of team on site, making sure they are completing their tasks correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Installing, bending and removing conduit
  • Extensive knowledge of Main panel setup and electrical circuitry wiring
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Ability to run circuits for a variety of appliances for single phase and 3-phase power.
  • Installation of Recessed Lighting, smoke detectors, outlets, and switches.
  • Knowledge of how to run wiring in remodeling and new construction.
  • Ensure all wires are secured to framing during rough installation.
  • Installation of boxes for switches, GFCI, Outlets during rough installation
  • Trenching & digging for conduit installation for landscaping and other conduit work.
  • Pulling electrical wires through conduit.
  • Ensure accuracy when recording your clock-in time and promptly submit your weekly hours for review and approval.
  • Familiar with heights, measurements requirements for distances between each other lighting, outlets, switches code Basic Electrical Codes.
  • Splicing j-boxes for switches, outlets, GFCI and light outlets during rough and finish installations
  • Installation of landscape lighting with transformers
  • Installation of light fixtures
  • Upload photos to company CRM of project progress, updates, adjustments and change orders.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team leaders.
  • Have and Maintain Safety Working practices.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints

Education and Experience

  • At least 5 years of Field experience performing electrical work.

· Vocational or technical school training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders.

· Crawling in crawl spaces and attics when required.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

· Must be able to work at great heights.

Safety Requirements:

· Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always worn when visiting any work site.

· Adhere to proper ladder safety protocols.

· Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and rules while working at any location.

· Wear appropriate work boots both while on site and off site.

Work Environment:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when installation is in process. Employees will be subject to weather conditions, not limited to rain, wind and heat and cold. Employees are required to wear protective equipment (PPE) as assigned by their designated work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
