Branch Manager Mountain Valley Bank - Steamboat Springs JOB SUMMARY: Develop and expand relationships with customers and cross sells bank services. Serves as the location Personal Banker and processes all appropriate transactions. Facilitate the process of referring credit customers to loan officers and making appropriate introductions. Promote the bank’s image through involvement in civic and community organizations. Develop a team spirit among branch personnel and instill a sense of pride and value in the products and services of the branch. RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage branch activities to achieve established goals and objectives.Supervise all branch employees. Coach and encourage employees in the development of branch goals.Implement and monitor goals and objects. Monitor daily overdraft making appropriate pay/return decisions within approved limits.Direct subordinates in handling all branch operational procedures.Serve as the location Personal Banker and process all appropriate transactions.Call on existing customers and assist with questions and problem resolution to ensure financial and social growth of all banking relationships.Develop new business by calling on potential or existing customers and introducing them to various bank products and services.Participate in civic, community, and professional groups to promote personal goals and the bank’s image and interest. Provide facility management.Recommend purchases.Monitor the general upkeep and appearance of the branch.Administer all security procedures.Act as a back-up Teller when needed.Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Qualifications:Three years’ experience in bank operations or related banking function.High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to assertively market bank products and services in a new market utilizing appropriate sales and marketing skills. Fundamental knowledge of mathematics including statistical and financial mathematics skills.Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.Knowledge of lending procedures and practices.PC experience required. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.Professional appearance.Demonstrated interpersonal skills.Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).Self-sufficient/self-starting.Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. Physical Requirements:Moderate Work- exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally to shovel snow off the walks around the building and moving coin, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.You should be capable of performing in a reasonable manner, with or without reasonable accommodation, the activities involved in this job.
