Job Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and certified Extended School Program Staff to join our K-8 school community. The Extended School Program Staff will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, engagement, and well-being of our students during extended care hours.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during Extended School Program hours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework assistance, tutoring, educational projects, enrichment activities and Greek language and culture activities.
• Monitor and facilitate student transitions between classrooms, activity areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Maintain positive and respectful relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Follow school policies and procedures related to student behavior, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with school administration and teaching staff to support the overall educational mission of the school.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student activities, behavior, and any pertinent information.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in education or related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
• Possess or be willing to obtain relevant certifications for working with children (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of students.
• Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in childcare, education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged children.

Work Schedule:

This position typically operates during extended school hours, with additional flexibility for staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
