Platinum Living Services is Hiring a Dishwasher Near George, UT

Job Summary:TheDishwasher’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our community staff.The Dishwasheris responsible for the actual operation of the commercial dishwasher and the cleaning ofalltableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Theemployee should be available to occasionally rotateto otherculinarypositions within the department when necessary.

Employment Relationship:This position is “at will” position and the employee and employer are free to sever the relationship at anytime with or without cause. A minimum of 14-daynotice of the intent to resign is requested for thisposition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The employee must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonableaccommodations. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to thisposition:a)Load, run and unload dish machine.b)Monitor dish machine water temperature and detergent/sanitizer/chemical levels to ensure sanitarywash cycle.c)Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to theCulinaryDirector immediately.d)Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.e)Properly wash, sanitize and store all tableware and kitchenware.Handletableware carefully toprevent breakage and loss.f)Maintain appropriate level of clean tableware for dining room andkitchen.g)Restock all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans.h)Break down, clean and sanitize the dish machine at the end of the shift.i)Bag and haul kitchen trash to designated area.j)Follow established reporting procedures for the following:supplies or equipment needs; anydamaged or loose fixtures, flooring, or tiling requiringreplacement or repair; any unsafe ormalfunctioning equipment; any conditions conducive to breeding insects, rodents or other vermin.k)Comply andunderstandallOSHA-SDSandprocedures. Follow defined Infection Control procedures.l)Understand facility’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actualemergencies.m)Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Facility’s rules, regulations, policiesand procedures.n)Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pastacookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.o)Keep dish room and food preparation areas clanand organized as required.p)Report concerns or observations about residents to supervisor.q)Notify Lead/Director of malfunction of equipment orappliances.RevisedJanuary,2021DishwasherPage2of3r)Operate kitchen appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine,blender, food processor, meat slicer, mixer, etc.).Practice safety in working with and around kitchenequipment.s)Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, families andvisitors.t)Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, communityoperations and personnel.u)Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance to OSHA regulations.v)Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisorw)Able to understand and to follow written and verbal directions. Able to effectively communicate withstaff members and residents through verbal and/or written means. Demonstrates ability to prioritizetasks/responsibilities and complete duties/projects within allotted time.x)Knowledge of emergency disaster procedures of community.Able to locate nearest exit, tounderstand and respond to written or oral instruction in case of emergency. Working knowledge andability to comply with community policies and procedures for workplace safety. Sufficient mobilityand strength to move freely through the building, to assure resident safety at all times and to assist,transfer or otherwise move residents of the community out of danger in case of emergency.y)Demonstraterespect for co-workers and respondto needs of residents by complying withcommunity policies on attendance, punctuality and dress code. Able to arrive and begin work ontime and to report for duty as scheduled on all shifts,including evenings, nights,weekends andholidays.Attend all in-services, safety meetings, staff meetings and/or other meetings as called upon.Able to adjust work schedule according to the resident needs due to calendared events.z)Adaptability and flexibility in dealing withchallenging or emergency situations, and ability to remaincalm when dealing with residents and their family members, with a positive and pleasant mannerand kind tone of voice.

Additional Responsibilities:Employee must have a great personality and enjoyworking with seniors. Employee must be patient,caringand havethe ability to do task at a slower pace in order to accommodate all residentsneeds.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:a)Age 16or older.b)Maintain current FirstAidand Food Handlerscertification.c)Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.d)Able tooperate dish machines to community and manufacturer specifications.e)Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English Language.

Physical Requirements of the Job:The employee should be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.Speaking and hearing required to perform job responsibilities; reading/writing; understand directions andcommunicate verbally. Specific vision abilities required include color, close and far vision acuity, depthperception and ability to adjust vision focus.Employee musthave the ability to climb, balance, kneel,crouch, reach, walk, sit, lift, grasp, perform repetitive motions involving bending, twisting, stooping,pushing, pulling, wrist motions and foot operations; be able to work in standing position forextendedperiod of time(entire shift)without significant rest period. Employee will be required to liftup to 50 lbs.with assist.
