Job Title: Evening/Night Concierge.

Rate of pay: $18.50/ 16 hours per week.

 Job Summary:

The Evening/Night Concierge provides a sense of well-being throughout the building and grounds for all residents.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Answering incoming telephone calls,

Provide well-being at the front desk and throughout the building, grounds, and residents, maintain system of door locks and emergency system.

Assist Department Heads with special projects and/or assignments when needed. Respond to resident questions and inquiries.

Maintain/monitor the in and out Visitor/Guest Logs and Resident Key Logs. Assure all appropriate issues, emergencies, observation and concerns are logged.

Monitor the call lights system and be available for residents’ assistance by calling 911 when needed.

Complete nightly janitorial and maintenance duties as instructed and assigned.

Prepare work orders for maintenance and housekeeping.

Remove all trash from common areas on every shift.

Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge of emergency disaster procedures of community.

Additional Responsibilities:

Employee must have a great personality and enjoy working with seniors. Employee must be patient, caring and have the ability to do task at a slower pace in order to accommodate all resident’s needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. 1. Age 18 or older.
   2.  High School Diploma or equivalent.
   3.  Experience in safety and security.
   4. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with residents, guests, and staff.
   5. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English Language.

Physical Requirements of the Job:

The employee must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. from the waist knee or floor and is required to ask for assistance when lifting anything over 25lbs. occasionally, the employee will need to work outside in varied temperatures depending on the time of year, including walks throughout the building grounds and the surrounding area.

Working Conditions:

1. 1. Primary responsibilities will be conducted in clean, well-lit, climate controlled areas such as the residents’ rooms, hallways, workrooms, dining and activity rooms.
   2. Exposure to body fluids, infection, odors and behavior of residents that may be aggressive, combative or demanding.
   3.  The noise is usually moderate.
   4.  Exposure to chemical and respiratory hazards is possible.
