Job Brief: The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, planning, and leading the execution of all manufacturing transition activity in the Quality space. This includes managing the product and site qualifications for internal, customer and third-party certifications and approvals. The position also has responsibility for planning and conduction internal audits that will monitor and ensure successful processes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Recruitment of the quality team in conjunction with the HR Manager.
• Provide guidance to product quality teams and plant leaders regarding compliance with quality systems.
• Manages the planning and execution of last article/first article activity for all parts being processed.
• Act as the expert on various customer and industry quality system models such as ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP.
• Manages the planning and execution of robust quality audits validating the integrity of the processes and systems used to meet project requirements.
• Ensure that technical expertise is provided to team members, suppliers and third parties ensuring compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements.
• Support the document creation and document control processes to ensure compliance with quality systems manual.
• Leads facility stand-up processes for required internal, customer and regulatory certifications.
• Direct interface with customers concerning quality challenges and changes by the customer.
• Serve as primary interface with the Government Quality Assurance Representative (QAR).
• Support the corrective and preventive action program (CAPA) and Corrective Action Requests issued internally, received from customers, or resulting from third party audits as needed.
• Work closely with other department managers with the common goal of customer satisfaction.
• Schedule and track new projects and maintain existing programs.

· Hire with the assistance of Human Resources, train & oversee the work of all subordinates in direct relation to the Quality Department.

• Must have a minimum 20/25 vision, Natural or Corrected and pass a color perception testing.
• Other Duties as assigned.
• Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm; weekends/overtime as required.
• Experience and/or Educational Preferences:

· 10 years’ experience in an aerospace quality system using ISO/AS9100 is preferred.

· Must be a US Citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance.

· High School or equivalent preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in quality or related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge and experience of quality practices in both composite and metallic manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Ability to anticipate challenges and offer sound solutions.
• Advanced skills in MS office, MS project experience is preferred.
• General knowledge of ITAR regulations.
• Leadership skills for hiring employees, resolving conflicts, and keeping employees on task and motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
