Duties and Responsibilities: 

· Maintains and promotes a safe workplace by following and enforcing all OSHA and Plantscape safety guidelines, including driving standards. Ensure all accidents are reported and documented immediately. 

· Acts in a way that encourages a positive team environment and culture. 

· Oversees landscape maintenance, enhancements, and irrigation services for commercial properties. Ensures daily projects are completed on time and according to specifications and ensures company production standards for landscape & irrigation installation and service are met or exceeded. 

· Effectively trains, coaches, motivate and mentor multiple foremen and their assigned operations; ensures team members understand their roles, job Crewtek is processed accurately daily and provide service that exceeds expectations. 

· Enforces policies and disciplines staff under their supervision in accordance with company policy and documents the same.

· Plans and manages the activities and schedules of the production team to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. 

· Administers annual performance evaluations of team to include performance improvement plans if needed and merit increase recommendations. Approves paid time off

· Works directly with sales and operations to ensure job organization and set up. Interfaces with suppliers/ subcontractors to obtain materials and equipment needed.

· Ensures all materials, tools, and equipment for projects and services are available when needed and that service and jobs are kept on schedule and on budget

· Ensures equipment certification and training is provided and current for team members and that it is operated safely and properly.

· Ensures accurate records are maintained and analyzed for job costing, inventory control, payroll, equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, tools, supplies and blooming rotations.

· Supervises company yard, fleet, tools, and equipment for security, abuse, and vandalism. 

· Interfaces with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of their phase of projects.

· Actively participates in Plantscape’s problem solving process and accurately defines, analyzes, recommends, and implements solutions, and evaluates outcomes.

· Recognizes and communicates opportunities for site improvements to Account Manager, while professionally communicates with customers

· Evaluates equipment utilization and recommends future purchases to Division Manager

· Attends training and acquires all certifications required for the position. 

· Attends weekly planning meetings with Exterior department and communicates challenges and solutions with operational team. 

· Coordinates and oversees holiday installations and take-down and assists as required. 

· Coordinates and oversees snow and ice removal schedule and assists as required. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

This position directly supervises Exterior foremen and crew members. 

Physical Requirements 

Sufficient manual dexterity to perform landscape functions using hand and power tools such as pruning shears, shovels, rakes, mowers, weed whackers, etc. Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stand for prolonged periods of time, and traverse uneven surfaces. Must be able to move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and move weights of up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment 

This job requires employees to work frequently in outdoor weather conditions including extremes of heat and cold, humidity, and precipitation. This position may include exposure to certain toxic chemicals. This position is exposed to allergens such as pollens, insects, and chemicals. This position also works regularly in a typical office work environment, which includes equipment noise and frequent interruptions.

Requirements

Position Requirements: 

· A minimum of 3- 5 years of supervisory experience in the landscaping/ irrigation industry.

· Landscape Industry Certified Technician certification strongly preferred.

· Irrigation Certified Technician certificate strongly preferred.

Knowledge of plant material including common names and landscape plans including site grading, plant, and hardscape layout.

· Knowledge of Irrigations

· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn additional computer programs 

· Knowledge of proper horticultural practices and efficient materials management, on-site problem anticipation, resolution, and attention to detail.

· Effective communication skills; ability to respond to customer inquiries/concerns professionally and knowledgably.

· Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who can perform independently without direct supervision.

· Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work

· Valid PA driver’s license with clean driving record.

· Flexible schedule to accommodate the seasonal fluctuations related to exterior, holiday and snow removal.
