About this position: Database Specialist
Using a high degree of accuracy, maintains the integrity of donor and donations records, enters donations from a variety of on- and offline sources, prepares regular reports, sends donor acknowledgements and other communications. Resolves technical issues and assists other staff in working with and using donor data and reports.
This is a full-time position and located in Seattle, WA.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Updates and adds constituent and prospective donor information as per industry standards. Including donor notes from meetings and phone calls, other action updates.
  • Maintains the integrity of the donor data with current and accurate information.
  • Enters donations from a variety of sources including checks, credit cards, online giving, electronic funds transfer, stock/securities transfer, bequests, and other sources.
  • Accurately records key donation information, such as each donation’s donor, source, purpose, and date.
  • Acknowledges donor contributions in a timely manner, creates acknowledgement communications on behalf of Major Gift Officers and other Development Department staff.
  • Sends follow-up communications to donors to collect pledges, obtain updated credit card information, and otherwise ensure that donor and donation information is accurate and up to date.
  • Confirms matching donation requests.
  • Responds to inquiries from donors.
  • Assists with monthly accounting reconciliation for Development and Accounting departments.
  • Ensures donor and supporter data remains complete and consistent across several linked database platforms including Raisers Edge, NGP-VAN, EveryAction and others.
  • Resolves technical development data issues as they arise, with the assistance of Information Services staff and third-party support technicians.
  • Provides regular data reporting and incorporates data and reporting into the local database from, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and other affiliated organizations.
  • Participates in national database assessment, rating, and benchmarking efforts.
  • Maintains technical knowledge and expertise in Raisers Edge software, including training other Development staff as needed to ensure redundancy of database skills across the department.
  • Conducts database queries and exports to extract data and create lists and reports as requested by Development staff.
  • Regularly updates tracking reports for the Development Department and organizational leadership.
  • Orders office supplies and stationery as needed for the Development Department.
  • Maintains job knowledge by attending meetings and trainings as required.
  • Maintains accurate donor files - both paper and electronic - as required for legal and/or donor compliance.
  • Provides administrative support for mailings including donor stewardship pieces, solicitations, invitations, postcards, proposals.
  • Manages Development Department’s incoming and outgoing emails and phone calls.
  • Provides administrative support for the Development Department as needed.

You’ll need to have:Education:
BA/BS in related field and/or five years of relevant experience.
Experience:
  • Three years’ experience with Raisers Edge.
  • Extensive word processing and spreadsheet experience
  • Operation of 10-key punch
  • Project management experience preferred.
Skills:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidentiality and ethical gathering of information.
  • Strong initiative and customer service orientation
Compensation: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade.
The pay range is $32.25 to $53.75, paid hourly.
