Planned Parenthood Arizona is Hiring an EMR Support Data Specialist Near Phoenix, AZ

The EMR Support/Data Specialist troubleshoots software systems; designs and distributes a variety of affiliate reports as needed. Provides technical support and maintains all aspects of legacy software systems, including, but not limited to networking, repair, upgrading, etc. Provide technical support across multiple environments with a primary focus on Epic EMR/EPM software.

GENERAL PRIORITIES

  • Credentialed Trainer for Epic Software.
  • Effectively educate and guide PPAZ’s Core team, end-users and new employees on software configuration and front-end functionality to software and ancillary applications.
  • Document implementation and training procedures.
  • Assist with maintenance and evaluation of medical information system workflows and processes to ensure the value received from Epic EPM and EMR is maximized.
  • Analyze and provide resolutions to application issues. Analyze current and future end user and backend requirements, procedures and workflow in order to provide application solutions that support and improve operations.
  • Process requirements for enhancements and/or new features with Epic include ensuring new releases are assessed, tested, readied for release and properly coordinated for release to the production environment.
  • Serves as affiliate liaison for perform system upgrades, customizations and enhancements.
  • Responsible for creating and analyzing all month end productivity reports and presenting to organizational leaders.
  • Create customized financial, productivity and operational reports and spreadsheets for all departments within the affiliate. Responsible for Title X, Justice funds, and PPFA data uploads.
  • Sustain detailed product knowledge for existing versions and new versions of software and serve as an Epic subject matter expert.
  • Liaison between clinic administration and EMR vendor to report and resolve EMR related issues.
  • EMR systems first point of contact to report down time and other related EMR issues.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

B.S. Degree in Information Technology, CIS, or equivalent with a minimum of three years in a dedicated, full time Microsoft Windows Server-based Network administration position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellence in proficiency in Excel and other presentations software.

Prefer to have experience with Windows batch files and third-party interface and connectivity.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including ability to work with end-users, outside vendors, and management to resolve problems and implement new technologies.

Ability to track and manage multiple initiatives or projects, including strong attention to detail.

Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
