Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. As a Fire Inspector, you will be supporting in conducting plan reviews, inspections, and field tests on fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with all applicable fire and life safety codes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fire and safety inspections as required within the project site.
• Response to reports of fire hazards evaluates conditions, identifies potential hazards, and recommends the appropriate corrective action as required.
• Document and maintain complete and accurate records of all inspections and any regulatory actions taken, including preparing written reports and correspondence, and issuing notices to correct code violations.
• Perform in-house fire inspection/safety procedures training on a need/request basis.
• Responsible for meeting client expectations while performing quality inspection.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree inengineering or related field
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Inspector
• Preferably a certified UL Firestop or open to being certified.
• Preferably a certificate in EMT 385-1-1
• Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience implementing NFPA and UFC requirements.
• Must have experience conducting technical inspections on buildings for code compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
