Planate Management Group is Hiring a Fire Protection Inspector Near San Fernando, CA

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.

As a Fire Inspector, you will be supporting the PMG GTSC Group in conducting plan reviews, inspections, and field tests on fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and fire suppression systems to ensure compliance with all applicable fire and life safety codes.

The position will be based in our SBMA, Zambales office.

Our salary range for this position is based on the market data, Php 250 to Php 350 per hour (the range varies depending on experience and qualifications).

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire and safety inspections as required within the project site
  • Response to reports of fire hazards evaluates conditions, identifies potential hazards, and recommends the appropriate corrective action as required
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate records of all inspections and any regulatory actions taken, including preparing written reports and correspondence, and issuing notices to correct code violations
  • Perform in-house fire inspection/safety procedures training on a need/request basis
  • Responsible for meeting client expectations while performing quality inspection
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

  • Must possess an NFPA certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fire Inspector
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience implementing NFPA and UFC requirements
  • Must have experience conducting technical inspections on buildings for code compliance. Must be certified as Fire Inspector III.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
