Enjoy working in an environment that promotes fun and a commitment to community? Plainfield Park District is looking for part-time Building Supervisors who will be responsible for supporting various events and programming activities offered at the PARC facility.
Provides Overall Supervision of the building to ensure all programs are running smoothly and customer expectations are met under the supervision of the Recreation Manager

STARTING SALARY
$14.50 per hour, Non-Exempt, Part-time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knows, understands and adheres to Park District policies and procedures.

• Represents the District as a point of contact to program instructors, residents, customers, participants during programs and room rentals.
• Provides a friendly and positive atmosphere for park district patrons, answers routine inquiries on park district services from residents, participants, and vendors, directs questions to appropriate staff person.
• Responsible for cash handling tasks including processing program registrations, daily admissions, rentals, and memberships in RecTrac.
• Have a solid working knowledge of the RecTrac and WebTrac registration system.
• Accountable for accurately completing all clerical functions accurately and timely according to District guidelines and expectations.
• Responds to internal and external phone calls, e-mails, comments and suggestions in a timely manner.
• Provides accurate information in regards to programs, permits, rentals and registration.
• Room/event set-up and take-down, activity implementation, and safety supervision of event participants.
• Monitors room/renters by unlocking/locking doors and turns off lights when room is not being used.
• Performs light cleaning throughout the facility as needed.
• Assist sin keeping supplies, equipment and facility space clean, organized and safe.
• Redirects participant behavior when necessary, enforces park district rules and makes sound decisions in order to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, facilities and equipment.
• Address any immediate safety concerns.
• Follows facility usage guidelines for rentals and memberships
• Performs all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District’s safety program.
• Performs any additional related tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 16 yrs. of age.

• Practical experience working within a recreation environment and interacting with patrons preferred.
• C.P.R. and First Aid Certification required; ability to certify at time of hire.
• Must be detail oriented to be able to process information accurately.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well with the public and other staff.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently.
