Placers is seeking a mechanical maintenance technician for our premier client in New Castle, DE. The maintenance tech will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all machinery, the facility lathes, mills, and other equipment in or outside of building. What you will do:

• Maintenance technicians call upon mechanical knowledge and technical skills to perform their job duties, which include diagnosing and repairing minor and major issues.
• They must have manual dexterity, as a fair bit their job involves operating hand and power tools.
• A keen attention to detail and the ability to solve mechanical problems as needed.
• Troubleshooting faulty machinery and diagnosing the root cause of the malfunction using the proper tools and or manuals.
• Ability to use electrical meter test circuits, fuses and read schematics. Also adhere to manufacturing and company safety rules.
• All maintenance techs should be conversing with fellow techs and document in maintenance log on daily basis.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment according to OEM manuals.

What you need to succeed:

• 5 years of maintenance tech exp in a manufacturing environment
• Able to use hand and power tools, shop tools, testing equipment, forklift, man lift, and able to use acomputer
• Ability to pass an extensive background check and 5 panel drug screen
