The Accounts Receivable team is looking for an energetic, proactive professional to process customer payments and related activities. The person should be a self-starter, able to thrive in a small team environment, and enjoy working with internal and external customers.
$23/hr
Part Time- 20 hours/weekly
Tuesday-Friday 10am-3pm
Responsibilities would include:

• Reconciling payments from the lock box to applicable customer accounts
• Processing, verifying, and posting daily bank deposits
• Process Write-offs, Adjustments and Prepayments
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately and quickly
• Recommend solutions to minimize future payment problems.
• Work with Credit & Collections and Sales teams to resolve short payments and deductions
• Creation of miscellaneous AR invoices and specialized Inter-company manual invoicing
• Provide payment application detail for audit requests
• Generate Customer Statements and copies of invoices upon request
• Interacting with internal and external customers in a position and professional manner
• Supporting necessary activities/coverage within the Accounts Receivable/Credit & Collections team
• Dependability/reliability in attendance each month end until completion of closing duties

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of work experience performing accounting-related tasks/business-to-business payment application experience
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts and OTC process
• Customer service mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities with a positive attitude in a high volume, multi-task environment
• Ability and willingness to learn a range of computer programs, ERP knowledge a plus
• Strong attention to detail with ability to use Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and drive continuous improvement
• Accounting certification preferred
