PK Companies is Hiring an Accountant Near Okemos, MI
- Compile and sort documents, such as bank statements and deposit backups, to substantiate business transactions.
- Verify and track details of business transactions, including property taxes and depreciation, and reconcile accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets.
- Act as the point of contact for banks and reconcile bank statements.
- Monitor progress of routine processes such as monthly financial reporting, annual budgets, and governmental reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and extract general ledger information.
- Compile cost reports, revenue, and balance sheets.
- Prepare financial reports for partners and reconcile report discrepancies.
- Assist in budget preparation for rental properties and management companies.
- Code data for input to financial data processing systems according to company procedures.
- Review, balance, and interpret computer reports, making corrections as necessary.
- Prepare financial statements and assist employees, vendors, clients, or customers with account-related inquiries.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and major accounting software.
