TheHourly Supervisor will assist in running the shift including but not limited toopening and closing responsibilities with access to point of sale (POS) andtimekeeping functions; they will also consistently deliver an exceptional guestand employee experience while fostering our Culture of Caring. In some fastcasual restaurants, participation in scheduling and food and supply orderingmay be included. Also achieves and maintains level of excellence in allfunctions outlined in FOH hourly team job descriptions, and performs jobfunctions as needed.

EssentialFunctions

  • SuperviseFOH teams to perform smooth and efficient daily shifts, ensuring an exceptionalguest and employee experience, including but not limited to opening and closingshifts; assigning, approving and checking out side work, point of sale (POS) and timekeepingsupervisory functions; recommending continuous improvements toprocesses and procedures; monitoring staffing levels and performing appropriatecuts to support business levels, assigning and covering breaks, and makingappropriate adjustments to floor maps throughout shifts
  • Providesupervision and guidance to and support the management team’s leadership of thehourly employees while fostering our Culture of Caring
  • Respondimmediately and effectively to guest and employee needs and feedback
  • Proficientlyperform functions of the teams they supervise and provide active back-upsupport when business needs require
  • SuperviseBOH hourly employees’ performance and responsibilities (including side work,checklists and sanitation/safety guidelines and procedures) and perform relatedwalk-throughs
  • Balance,pare and maintain security of all cash banks
  • Supportmanagement team’s responsibilities for pre-shift and other employee meetings
  • Assist the management team with thetraining, development and retention of team members and refer all employeeissues directly to the management team
  • Assistin partnering with General Manager to ensure repair and maintenance needs areaddressed
  • Understandand follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions
  • Ensureproper food storage, quality and presentation standards, including temperaturecontrols
  • Assist the management teamwith monitoring and ensuring that the restaurant and team comply withall Company and restaurant policies and procedures as well as all legal andregulatory requirements, including but not limited to safety and sanitationregulations and alcohol management.
  • Supportmanagement team as needed in performing inventories of food, beverage andrestaurant supplies and tracking high cost items; placing food, beverage andrestaurant supply orders; and accepting and inspecting deliveries
  • Assign,follow, communicate and supervise VIP procedures
  • Worka variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights andweekends) at multiple sites as needed
  • Safelyand effectively use and operate all necessary tools, utensils, equipment andsoftware (for example, restaurant management software, etc.)
  • Effectivelycommunicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written andspoken direction
  • Multitaskcalmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variablelight, noise and temperature levels
  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently moveand/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift and movesafely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven orslick surfaces

  • Proficientlyuse and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Modeland promote teamwork across all teams
  • Usetact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests,vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
  • Organizeand conduct periodic informational seminars for employees
  • Successfullycomplete alcohol awareness training
  • Followall rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including thoseoutlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Otherduties assigned as needed
