Our dynamic Content Middleware team is rapidly growing as we optimize our digital ordering channels and technology innovations to create competitive advantages for our restaurants around the globe. We are seeking an Engineer focusing on Quality who is ready to work closely with our Feature Developers to write low level integration and functional level automated test scenarios. This role will require the candidate to analyze user story requirements and develop new automated test scenarios in multiple levels of the Testing Pyramid. In this role, you will participate in Agile ceremonies, be an integral part of the team, and work closely with the Technical Analysts and Feature Developers.

Scope of the Role

• Develop functional and (mocked) integration test automation using TypeScript and Golang.
• Maintain regression test automation using Python and gRPC method libraries.
• Develop low level integration tests of various internal services using simulated and mock services/systems.
• Prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases, delivering them as automated test scenarios
• Perform automated integration, functional and end-to-end regression testing on framework services ( RESTful APIs, gRPC methods)
• Review test code developed by developers, pinpointing quality gaps necessitating additional automated tests.
• Serve as a Technical QA Engineer on Agile/Scrum teams, aiding in defining user scenarios and implementing automated tests to validate them.
• Scrutinize user stories to ensure testability and verify user expectations during the testing process.
• Analyze test results for failure trends and patterns, troubleshoot issues, and conduct investigative testing techniques.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering focused degree. Alternatively equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of IT QA Engineering or Software Development Engineering 
• 3 years of functional automation test development using high level programming languages such as Typescript, Golang or JavaScript
• Solid understanding of developing test automation using mocking frameworks
• 2 years of experience in Agile/Scrum environment on Product Team
• Solid understanding various levels of a test pyramid (Unit, Integration, and functional/E2E test frameworks)

Preferred Requirements: 

• Experience building functional test automation libraries and solutions
• Experience with testing back-end API or gRPC services
• Technical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• 2 years of AWS or GCP and their services with a good understanding of cloud-based applications
• Knowledge of VCS systems like BitBucket, GitHub, or GitLab
