The Associate Manager, Mission Finance Lead plays a central role in the organization’s Global Mission Team – defined as a cross-functional squad dedicated to partnering with Regional Business Units and Franchisees to solve critical business problems in international markets with transformative growth potential. The Mission Team works in time-boxed projects, practicing Agile ways of working and utilizing Human-Centered Design methodologies. The Associate Manager will provide critical analyses and data-driven insights to inform project strategy, make decisions, prioritize work, and assess performance. In addition, the Associate Manager will identify and codify best practices to drive unit economics across the system. S/He has exceptional analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, demonstrates a strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and influences others even without direct authority.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? 

Support Mission Team (90%)

• Own analyses for the Mission team’s projects including defining KPIs, measuring test effectiveness, identifying risks and opportunities to inform prioritization and planning
• Dive into the details and drivers of restaurant economics to optimize P&L performance for cost efficiency and topline growth, including channel and daypart analyses, cross-market benchmarking, cross-functional regressions and more
• Provide thought leadership and analytical support for evaluating and actioning against current business trends
• Create cohesive summaries or presentations, demonstrating a strong ability to tell stories through data
• Collaborate and build credibility with other functions, business unit teams, and franchise partners to gain support for analyses and develop strategic recommendations 
• Act as the liaison between finance and the Mission team, bridging the gap to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
• Summarize insights and implications in presentations or other communications for executive sponsors and leaders

Support Finance/Strategy Team (10%)

• Identify and codify best practices to drive unit economics across the system
• Assist with the preparation and execution of key elements of the strategic planning process, as needed

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH? 

The Finance Mission Lead will interact with several cross-functional peers, in both our Headquarters and our Regional Business Units, including but not limited to the following: Development, Financial Planning, Marketing, Operations, Digital & Technology, HR, and Legal. Additionally, this position enjoys significant exposure to senior leadership.

IS THIS YOU? 

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree/MBA and/or advanced degree a plus, but not required

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications)

• 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Management Consulting, and/or Business Operations
• Experience in the restaurant industry with deep understanding of its business model required
• Strategic, analytical thinker with strong bias for fact-based decision-making and comfortable with ambiguity
• Proven track record of managing multiple, complex analytical projects simultaneously
• Exceptional thought leadership with the ability to translate data into actionable insights 
• Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business acumen and attention to detail required 
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a knack for building relationships across teams
• Manage time and resources and removes obstacles to ensure quality output is delivered on time
• Ability to combine fact-based approach with business acumen & instinct/judgement
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
• Experience with agile and human-centered design methodologies a plus, but not required; training will be provided

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; PowerBI a plus, but not required
