ShiftsIn general we offer 8 and 12 hour shifts for our Caregiver positions. We currently have openings for part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions.

  • Days: 6am-2:30 pm
  • Evenings: 2pm-10:30pm
  • Nights: 10pm-6:30am

Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Life Services Coordinator - Caregiverto join our  Maggie's Place Memory Care team! The Life Services Coordinator - Caregiver is responsible for cultivating an environment that maximizes each residents independence. The Life Services Coordinator - Caregiver is responsible for delivering assistance with personal care, medications, social and recreational activities, meals, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued well-being of tenants.

Responsibilities:

  • The Caregiver provides resident assistance with grooming and dressing guidance, bathing, and medication assistance
  • The Caregiver reviews the Staff 24-Hour Communication log and corresponding Tenant Service Notes on a daily basis
  • The Caregiver prepares and serves meals and snacks, followed by clean-up
  • The Caregiver maintains kitchen cleanliness.
  • The Caregiver makes beds and change linens.
  • The Caregiver facilitates laundry service.
  • The Caregiver does housekeeping to include dusting and vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and common spaces
  • The Caregiver maintains activity calendar and engage tenants in activities such as spiritual, educational, games, music, and physical activities
  • The Caregiver provides companionship
  • The Caregiver works effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting
  • The Caregiver follows safety policies in performing care, assuring resident safety
  • The Caregiver follows and upholds policies and procedures
  • The Caregiver attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
  • The Caregiver follows infection control guidelines
  • The Caregiver observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
  • The Caregiver performs all other duties as assigned by the charge nurse and/or Maggie's Place Director

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • The Life Services Coordinator - Caregiver must be able to think, act and intervene independently in both routine and emergency situations. He/she must be self-motivated. He/she must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, with the ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must have 1-2 years previous experience working with individuals with dementia, preferably in a memory care setting. Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Valid CNA or CMA in state of which applying is preferred.
