Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Supervisor (RN/LPN) to join our Colonial Village team! The RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Community when the Director of Nursing or Executive Director are absent. The RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor is also responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of residents in the facility, for the supervision and education of nursing staff who provide care to the residents, and for staffing and scheduling responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor follows and upholds the Community's philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor ensures provision of quality nursing care in accordance with Federal, State, and Company requirements based on acuity of residents.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor  leads staff across the campus (SNF, AL, and IL) assesses their needs and identifies educational opportunities.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor leads the coordination, monitoring and maintenance of staffing for all shifts within budgetary guidelines
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for fulfilling open overnight shifts as CNA/CMA/NURSE in SNF or AL due to call offs, if unable to schedule a replacement
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor completes rounds to monitor quality of care delivered and to ensure resident needs are being met
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor supports Medical Records in the management of the Electronic Heath Record with data input on an ongoing basis.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor audits medical records for regulatory compliance
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor closes and proper storage/disposal of all discharged residents medical records
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor promptly addresses concerns from residents, families, and staff as able and communicates concerns with Director of Nursing and/or the Executive Director
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor attends and participates in facility meetings, leadership meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor follows infection control guidelines
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor creates assessments within Electronic Health software as directed by nursing and other departments
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care to include, but not limited to recognition of spiritual, emotional, psychosocial, and functional factors.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor monitors nursing personnel compliance to nursing policies and procedures.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor initiates procedures to protect resident from injury and infection.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor safeguards the residents privacy and property.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor assesses and evaluates resident change of condition and instituting appropriate interventions.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor monitors nursing personnel for competency in clinical skills.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor monitors inventory of supplies, equipment and/or medications to meet resident needs.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor leads the orienting and educating of nursing staff.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor provides job-related assistance to team whenever necessary.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor promotes staff performance through education, praising, and recognizing effective performance.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor provides coaching for nursing staff as appropriate with direction from the DON.
  • RN/LPN Night Shift Supervisor communicates with on-coming shift regarding resident care needs.
