About our client:
Our global biotech client is on a mission to work side by side with its customers in order to improve patients’ lives by bringing new biopharmaceuticals to market.
About the role:
Our client is in the middle of an indirect procurement assessment and process mapping project and is in need of a project manager/business analyst! This contract has the possibility to extend for continued work on the implementation and assessments for additional focus areas like direct procurement. The right candidate must be able to work a hybrid remote/on-site (flexible days) schedule in the Bothell, WA area.
What you will do:
  • Lead the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing practice within the organization
  • Conduct process mapping with subject matter experts within the company to clearly trace the purchase order flow from requirements identification to purchase order close-out and delivery
  • Develop a strategic sourcing strategy
  • Develop effective procurement policies tailored to a specific supplier base
  • Develop company-specific scorecard methodologies that facilitate effective scoring of supplier capabilities and selection of optimal suppliers, both new and existing
  • Develop metrics and measurables that will establish the basis for ongoing supplier relationships favorable to the company
  • Create category strategies that allow business partners to engage in more effective contract management negotiations with suppliers, both new and existing
  • Conduct a careful review of supplier and internal procurement organization performance using data and metrics, leveraging Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or other similar platforms
  • Develop and execute tactical steps within confined parameters of sourcing strategy designed for specific niche business objectives
What makes you a good fit:
  • 7 years of relevant experience leading a Procurement and Strategic Sourcing evolution within an enterprise involving two or more internal commodity groups, preferably Finance/Accounting and Supply Chain/Logistics
  • Experience in development of a strategic sourcing strategy, preferably within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical field
  • Experience with Procurify, Dynamics, SAP Concur, Power BI, Coupa or similar platforms
  • Background in sustainable and ethical sourcing practices
