Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries, administering medications, conducting lab tests, and educating pet owners on best practices for animal health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
  • Proven experience working as a Veterinary Technician
  • Excellent knowledge of animal health and care
  • Proficient in administering medications and vaccinations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and comfortably
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry advancements
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance to veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
  • Administer medication, vaccinations, and treatments to animals as directed by veterinarians
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as blood and urine analysis, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
  • Monitor the health and well-being of animals during their stay at the clinic or hospital
  • Assist with the handling and restraint of animals to ensure their safety and comfort
  • Clean and sterilize equipment, exam rooms, and cages to maintain a sanitary environment
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive treatments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and procedures
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education programs as necessary
