Curriculum writers will work closely with the Office of Curriculum and Instruction to develop a curriculum roadmap and course supports for new ESL K-12 ESL instructional materials.
The curriculum writing project will begin on June 20 and end by August 15, tentatively (dates are subject to change based on the number of applicants). Writers will be expected to work a maximum of ten hours per week. Workshop rate will be provided for between 25-30 writers for grades K-12.

Pittsburgh Public Schools Teacher

Valid PA ESL Program Specialist Certificate

Previous curriculum writing experience preferred, but not required

Essential Job Functions
1. Work in collaboration with the curriculum writing team as well as independently.

2. Select content from adopted core instructional resources, identify additional supplemental instructional resources, and develop content such as learning activities, assessments, and projects.

3. Meet with the writing team at scheduled times on Microsoft Teams and/or Greenway Professional Development Center.

4. Submit work on-time in accordance with established schedules and deadlines, revise work as needed, and develop work in alignment with guidelines, standards, and expectations set by the Office of Curriculum & Instruction.
