Pittsburg State University Career Site Minimal is Hiring an Assistant Instructional Professor of Social Work Near Pittsburg, KS
Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a position as Assistant Instructional Professor in Social Work. The ideal candidate will have substantial practice experience, demonstrated commitment to educating future social work professionals, continuous engagement in professional development, and the ability to positively contribute to a collaborative and collegial environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach four (4) classes each semester in a BSW and MSW program in the School of History, Philosophy, and Social Sciences.
- The ideal candidate will have substantial practice experience, demonstrated commitment to educating future social work professionals, continuous engagement in professional development, and the ability to positively contribute to a collaborative and collegial environment.
Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire
- Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program
- A social work license at the master’s or clinical level
- A minimum of two (2) years full-time post-MSW experience in a clinical social work practice setting
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A doctoral degree or ABD in Social Work or closely related field
- Social Work licensure at the clinical level
- Proficiency with Canvas
- Experience teaching at the university level with both in-person and online delivery
- Experience with forensic social work; Experience in the addictions field
- Five or more years full-time post-MSW experience in a clinical social work practice setting
Job Type: Unclassified, Faculty, Non-Tenure Earning, Renewable Annually - 9 months
