Position Details:
  • Title: Speech Language Pathologist
  • Location: Pittsburg, CA
  • Duration: Full-time Sy 24-25
  • Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
  • Student Age Group: Multiple sites available
  • Case Load: 55-65 kids
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and collaboration with the student's educational team.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and strategies to address communication disorders and promote functional communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the students' educational plans.
  • Monitor students' progress towards speech and language goals, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide regular updates to educational team and parents.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff on strategies to support students' communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of speech and language therapy services provided.
  • Stay current with trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
  • Experience with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques for a range of speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to promoting communication skills, literacy, and academic success for all students.
