Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers and industrials throughout the U.S. Our experience includes system voltages from 4.16 kV through 765 kV.
ECI is opening an office in the Houston, TX area and has an opening for a lead electrical engineer. This is a great opportunity to help start and grow a new office location.
Responsibilities include leading a professional consulting office; developing client relationships in the industrial and utility industries; overseeing technical design for the Houston office; mentor new engineers with regards to company culture and quality process.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; 8 years of progressive power or industrial industry experience; P.E. License; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; ability to work in a team environment; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant must have an advanced knowledge of power engineering principals, be expert regarding applicable codes, standards and design tools, possess basic project management execution skills, and have the ability to oversee and direct design personnel on a project team. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
