Description

Summary/Objective

The Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for overseeing and leading the Sales and Business Development Team to exceed business goals. The CRO’s primary objective is to increase the company’s revenue streams by identifying and capitalizing on new revenue opportunities while optimizing existing ones.

Essential Functions

  • Manage Sales, Marketing, and Business Development Teammates. 
  • Identify new customers and markets to expand customer base.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow revenue from existing customers. 
  • Analyze metrics and data trends to confirm trajectory or modify strategy. 
  • Collaborate with executives and key stakeholders. 
  • Communicate effectively to drive revenue growth. 
  • Resolve conflicts and unify Teammates on mission at hand.
  • Interview new hires for open positions on the Sales and Business Development Team.
  • Set strategy to secure revenue each quarter per budget.

Requirements

Competencies

  • Understand profit and loss statements. 
  • Innovate or identify new services. 
  • Identify new trends and market opportunities. 
  • Possess strong leadership and management skills. 
  • Strong expertise in Sales and Marketing.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in relevant area preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in the field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes is required.
  • Demonstrated team building skills required.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with superior communication skills is required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This role requires the individual to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. This role requires the individual to make substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers often. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full time status. Extended hours may be required based on the business need.

Travel

This role does require travel based on what is needed to be successful in this position. Currently clients, direct reports and executive teammates are located throughout the Midwest, Southwest and North portions of the United States.
