Pioneer Interests / LOVA is Hiring a General Manager - Durango Near Durango, CO

Summary: The General Manager is responsible for managing personnel, inventory tracking, scheduling, hiring, employee training, and the general day-to-day matters pertaining to the retail store. The General Manager is accountable for sales and overall performance for their location. The General Manager is expected to perform with utmost professionalism and compliance.

Job Duties

● Customer Satisfaction / Hospitality:

o Lead a team of budtenders and shift leads toward effective collaboration and attainment of excellent customer satisfaction.

o Ensure all customer service initiatives are in place.

o Oversees day to day to ensure compliance in all areas of customer service, store operations, and loss prevention.

o Resolve problems by providing creative and practical solutions.

o Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve.

● Sales Growth and Profitability:

o Responsible for understanding store (KPIs)metrics and reports and completing daily/weekly/monthly reporting documents (Retail Daily Sales)

o Held accountable for overall sales and location performance and achieving positive results

o Responsible for driving sales and ATVs by encouraging in-house competitions, collaboration with Marketing department, and staff coaching through posting daily results and budtender performance

o Identify opportunities by staying on top of store trends and demands, analyzing existing assortment performance and communicating customer insights and feedback into the development process.

o Assists with establishing set standards and objectives based on store specific needs.

o Establish and maintain efficient operating processes and procedures as laid out by Retail Operations Manager

o Assists with pricing strategy and promotions in line with store demand, margin requirements, and business objectives.

● Training/Leadership/Employee Management:

o Manage employees, including hiring and developing, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, scheduling, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving employee issues.

o Train, challenge, motivate, encourage, and provide constructive guidance to team members

o Assists with establishing and implementing initial and ongoing onboarding procedure and position specific training for employees to ensure an adequate level of understanding regarding guidelines, policies, procedures and compliance, and company goals.

o Provide effective leadership to employees to ensure a complete understanding of and alignment to the LOVA’s vision, mission and values to maintain a positive work environment and a high level of morale.

● Compliance and Safety:

o Adhere to and promote a culture of compliance.

o Ensure that workflow, employee incidents, disciplinary action, and performance reviews are all documented appropriately within a timely manner

o Ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and operational guidelines.

o Monitor the activities of employees, customers, and patients to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

o Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

● Inventory Management:

o Responsible for location general inventory, placing inventory requests and communicating immediate location needs to Area Buyer

o Ensure inventory is maintained, out of stocks reduced, and price/cost is entered correctly

o Accountable for accurate use of Point of Sale, inventory management systems, state compliance/ METRC, etc.

o Oversee cycle counts(Daily Rolling Audits), wall to wall inventories, receiving, on the floor stocking, and back room management to assure inventory integrity.

● Budgeting & Reporting:

o Provides timely feedback on month end reports.

o Performs to provided target financial goals; sales, gross profits, expense management, and profitability as well as expected sales goal performance for selected SKUs.

o Completes weekly performance reports to review in weekly retail meeting

● Human Resources:

o Ensure adherence to company handbooks, new hire onboarding, and State Compliance requirements, etc.

o Oversees and manages employee time clocks and corrects errors

o Efficiently communicates all employee information/disciplinary action/incidents up to appropriate channels

o Conduct, organize, and drive interviews ensuring technical aptitude and cultural fit.

● Cash Management:

o Assure adherence to cash management systems and protocols to eliminate cash shrinkage and theft.

o Assure adherence to all store opening & closing counts and procedures.

o Coordinates and responsible for counting daily deposits

o Responsible for placing change orders and pickups via Empyreal

Qualifications

● 2-5 years experience in a retail management role

● Effective written and verbal communication skills

● Able to foster a positive culture allowing team members to thrive

● Understand, recognize, and implement chain of command

● Inventory management experience preferred

● Cannabis experience preferred not required

● Proficiency in conflict resolution and de-escalation

● Proficiency in building schedules to enhance customer experience and operational store need

● Ability to delegate store activities and develop team member knowledge

● Must be able to be widely trusted; is seen as direct, truthful individual; can present the unvarnished truth in an appropriate and helpful manner; keeps confidences; admits mistakes; doesn’t misrepresent him/herself for personal gain

● Must be able to acquire badge prior to beginning employment

● Travel Requirements as needed

● Must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Offices, Google, Metrc/(IL)BioTrack, and Point of Sales

● Regularly requires local travel, as needed. Other Duties

● Must be able to work in an office environment with moderate to loud noise level
