Great client in the Bakersfield area is seeking a Sr Staff Accountant. This is a direct hire role and is located in the NW part of Bakersfield.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

In this role, you will assist with crop cost management including std rates and raw product entries. Will also review/analyze farmingoverhead, water allocations and all farming inventories (chemicals, seed, compost, etc.), planting/listingentries. There are also some other farming operation related entries and other duties related to harvesting and packoutdata as well as Ad hoc analysis and report compilation as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year Accounting Degree required from an accredited College/University.
• Three to five years of experience in an accounting environment
• Cost accounting experience a plus.
• Ideal candidate needs to possess solid accounting knowledge and experience.
• Experience with BI reporting tools with a basic understanding of database structure and SQL
• functions preferred.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ten-key proficient required along with the ability to operate other office equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be analytical, organized, detail oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Must possess good people skills and have professional appearance.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean DMV driving record.
