We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting & Auditing team! 

Responsibilities include:

• Understanding the needs and expectations of our clients, in regards to their business and industry, and accounting and control systems
• Performing substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
• Analytical review of reports and confidential client information.
• Preparation of financial statements
• Attend training courses assigned by the Firm and work with Performance Coach to build continuing education plan.
• Begin personal professional development program to continuously improve technical and interpersonal skills.
• Begin using Firm resources to find answers to issues encountered in tax compliance and other engagements.
• Take initiative to assist others in completing assignments whenever possible.
• Seek out feedback and view it as an opportunity to learn.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other financial areas preferred.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong verbal, written communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently on tasks and projects; while also collaborating with peers in a team-oriented environment
• Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
• Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam (or plans to start soon after employment)

Pay transparency:

This position is hourly non-exempt. The annual amount this position would pay is between $54,000 - $61,000 which includes expected paid overtime worked. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, prior public accounting experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
