Pinnacle Oil Holdings is Hiring an Electro Mechanical Technician Near Indianapolis, IN

Electro-mechanical technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuitry. They operate, test, and maintain automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment. Your duties include familiarizing yourself with blueprints and schematics of different equipment, inspecting equipment to ensure it meets design specifications, and troubleshooting problems when users report issues with their equipment. This includes repairing pneumatic circuits, replacing electrical circuits, or recalibrating industrial robotic tools.

The Electro-mechanical Technician will report to the Senior Automation Specialist.

Knowledge of wiring standards & ability to work with 24VDC through 480VAC 3-Phase

  • Assist &/or lead in troubleshooting & repair of down production equipment containing computers, sensors, motors, PLC’s, etc.
  • Root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Perform continuous improvement activities for quality and throughput
  • Assist with parts research & inventory
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Read & interpret equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, & work orders in order to perform necessary maintenance tasks and service
  • Electromechanical Technician may be directed to perform & complete other tasks as deemed appropriate by management that may, or may not, be related to maintenance issues

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Understanding of electromechanical systems and building power systems
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to use all available resources to solve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to test systems with devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
  • Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively & work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize time and handle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Must have good job performance and attendance record.
  • Passion for troubleshooting electrical controls and developing maintenance technicians’ skills

Recommended:

  • Associate degree in an Industrial Technology, Electromechanical Technology or Engineering Technology career path
  • 1-3 years Electrical-based work experience
  • 1-3 years of control system experience working with Allen Bradley PLC based controls in a manufacturing environment with a focus on troubleshooting, process improvement, instrumentation calibration and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Experience with Cognex vision systems will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with FANUC & ABB robots will be an added advantage.
