The Logistics Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the routes and deliveries of doughnuts in the Las Vegas valley and surrounding areas. This person will work alongside the commissary team and drivers, ensuring the delivery of all product is scheduled efficiently. This role requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record managing inventory and organizing logistics and distribution processes, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality control, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all doughnut deliveries to the shops
  • Daily dispatch of deliveries and fleet in the Las Vegas valley and surrounding areas.
  • Deliveries are on time within the delivery window
  • The product is delivered in good quality and not damaged
  • Develop efficient delivery routes between shops to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
• Responsible for all trucks and equipment
  • Trucks are maintained and upkept per the rental agreements
  • Trucks are washed on a regular basis
  • Responsible for resolving any lift gate issues or other equipment related issues on the trucks
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper storage and maintenance of delivery equipment, such as dollies, speed racks, the return of baking sheets, rack covers, etc.
• Responsible for all Drivers
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the driver team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Responsible for interviewing, training, hiring, coaching and developing, counseling and terminating all drivers.
  • Ensure all drivers are following Fuelman and TrackTik guidelines, utilizing their own PIN and completing accurate delivery and vehicle logs.
  • Holds drivers accountable, making sure they are doing their jobs up to company standards, including safe driving, following health and safety standards, and maintaining excellent internal customer service with the shops.
  • Schedules all drivers to ensure all deliveries can be completed at their scheduled times.
  • In collaboration with security, promptly report and complete investigations regarding vehicle accidents and/or employee injuries.
• Collaborate with procurement and production team to forecast delivery needs and staffing needs, adjusting the number of deliveries, routes, or staffing to accommodate business needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency enhancements within the logistics operations.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a logistics management role. Food industry experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Clark County Food Handler card and ServSafe Manager card.
• Must have proven communication skills, specifically with written reports and updates. Must be able to communicate timely via email.
