Summary of Position:

Our Carpenters provide consistent and quality work. Individuals exude a willingness to work with others independently while exercising safe workplace practices. Responsibilities include good job site housekeeping skills, knowing proper handrail layout and installation per OSHA, have the ability to read a basic blueprint, are able to use hand tools and power tools, and have the ability to perform all concrete vibrations. Additional responsibilities include the proper stacking and cleaning of materials, reading tape measurers, stripping and dismantling of basic formwork, assisting with demolition, doweling and epoxy, and installing wood blocking as directed.

As team members, we ensure that other PCC employees are stocked with the proper materials to do their job, require the use of all safety equipment, and have the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance. In addition, carpenters must be able to perform unsupervised, report all unsafe conditions immediately, be able to understand and follow verbal instructions, help carry out PCC project safety policies, and practice good safety.

Carpenter Qualifications:

• Applicants being considered for hire must pass a drug test before beginning work or receiving an offer of employment.

o Note: The drug screen includes testing for THC, the active ingredient in cannabis (marijuana).

• Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
• Ability to set own goals and tasks
• Ability to work in a cooperative, team environment

CARPENTER COMPENSATION:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this position will be $20.00 to $38.50 Profit Sharing. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
