With over 40,000 square feet of fabrication space across Brooklyn and Los Angeles, Pink Sparrow’s

multidisciplinary team of industry experts is equipped to make any sized vision a reality.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager will oversee assigned projects from

start to finish. The candidate should have a broad knowledge of fabrication techniques specific to special

events, staging, theater, and retail displays. They should possess experience producing multifaceted and

complex custom builds in addition to managing installations and strikes. They should also work well in

collaborative environments, be extremely well organized, comfortable engaging with clients, and adept at

maintaining professional correspondence..

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee project from inception to completion
  • Anticipate clients needs and proactively provide solutions
  • Extract, compile and organize all documents and information pertaining to an event or project
  • Attend site visits and document detailed notes of the venue/delivery site
  • Maintain project budget while tracking labor and expenses billed against a project
  • Oversee the fabrication, installation, and load-out of all elements within the scope of a project
  • Ensure production, quality, and timeline are met to satisfy the client in a cost-effective manner
  • Maintain discipline to procedures, in accordance with safety, quality, engineering, human resources, and finance department guidelines
  • Support internal department leads throughout the lifespan of a project
  • Organize and run pre-production/kickoff meetings and periodic team alignment/check-in meetings
  • Coordinate and manage all logistics related to assigned projects
  • Maintain production schedule and assist in scheduling crew according to staffing protocols
  • Source and acquire project related materials
  • Oversee collateral organization and warehousing related to a project
  • Oversee pack and wrap, manifests, and truckload
  • Manage all aspects of an install/load-in and oversee strikes
  • Reconcile all production materials, tools, and inventory items post-event
  • Complete project wraps and coordinate meetings with relevant peers
  • Build rapport with our clients and strive to excel in customer service while representing company values
  • Responsible for reconciling all expenses related to a project according to finance guidelines
  • Prepare reports as necessary
  • Ensure the attainment of all productivity goals
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Support company culture and initiatives

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience or leading a team
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and shop drawings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction and building materials
  • Able to train and coach staff on a regular basis
  • Able to provide written reports and feedback
  • Organized, detail-oriented and team driven
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
