The Staff Revenue Accountant position is essential to driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue recognition processes. As a Revenue Accountant, you will be part of a team that executes revenue recognition for multi-element arrangements, including software, SaaS, and professional services, and provide accurate visibility into Ping's revenue. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, this position works cross-functionally with the Sales Ops, Sales, Professional Services, and Legal teams. Candidates for this position want to learn more about revenue accounting, as well as being open to exposure to other accounting processes.
You will:

• Assist with revenue recognition by assessing sales orders and contracts for accounting implications.
• Review multi-element contract arrangements to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
• Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing monthly revenue recognition entries and reconciling revenue-related general ledger accounts.
• Coordinate with technical accounting in supporting and verifying revenue recognition treatment of non-standard terms.
• Collaborate with the broader accounting team and assist with general ledger, financial reporting, and miscellaneous accounting tasks as assigned.
• Work with external auditors to provide appropriate documentation and explanations for revenue-related audit requests.
• Develop and support relationships with business partners.
• Actively identify opportunities for process improvement or operational automation in existing system infrastructure.

You have:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
• Works well in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Excellent research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks.

You have an advantage if:

• CPA certification or working towards licensure.
• Familiarity with Netsuite as an ERP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Possess a collaborative spirit.

Base Hiring Range: $70,000 - $84,033
In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
