Pine Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is Hiring a Director of Rehab- Open to OT, PT, PTA, COTA Near Philmont, NY

We are currently looking for a full-time Director of Rehab/DOR in the Pawtucket, RI area to join our team of dedicated rehabilitation specialists. This position is open to a PT PTA, COTA or OT.

DOR Responsibilities:

  • Lead, orient, and mentor all therapy staff
  • Review all relevant data and utilize the clinical judgment to ensure appropriate delivery of therapy care to maximize outcomes and meet desired goals at discharge
  • Plan accordingly to schedule staff based on clinical needs and coordinate treatment activity of staff members
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and understanding the role of rehabilitation for all therapy disciplines
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and organization of all departmental paperwork, including conducting documentation audits
  • Prompt preparation and delivery of any regular or ad hoc reports
  • Projects a positive and professional image at all times
  • Reports to work on time and coordinates schedule to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Establish and promote clinical programs/enhancement as indicated
  • Adheres to established confidentiality standards
  • Engage in recruiting interviews, employee development, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective actions, performance appraisals
  • Work pro-actively to manage and build PRN pool, contact and schedule as needed
  • Participate in facility and company meetings
  • Ability to analyzes interpret and achieve budget expectations on a consistent basis
  • Assure staff all understand and are compliant with the Federal, State and Local laws, rules and regulations related to therapy service delivery
  • Provide a safe environment to utilize tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions and standards for the healthcare professional
  • Develop professional working relationships with staff, facility team members, residents, and resident family members
