The Student Accounts Specialist is responsible for maintenance of student ledger cards according to defined company and industry guidelines.

This includes posting charges, payments, refunds and credits. This position is also responsible for ensuring the ledger records in the student information system (SIS) are reconciled and accurate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform accurate posting of all payments, charges, and credits for all campuses
• Perform all reconciliation of student account records in our student information system to rosters.
• Resolve issues by escalating questions to management to determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure all individual student transactions (charges, payments, and institutional scholarships) are in compliance with Pima Medical Institute, Military / Veteran Affairs, and DOE policies.
• Provide customer service support to the campus by explaining student account information when questions arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree is preferred, and fields of study include accounting and finance.
• At least 3-5 years of comparable experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
