Summary: Provide assistance to physician and operate his/her clinic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner

· Send out prescriptions per physician orders

· Fill out testing orders per physician orders & explain testing to the patient

· Escort patients to check-out

· Check voicemails & enter messages into NextGen

· Return patient calls/tasks, even if only to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail, and that an answer is being sought

· Ensure that charts have been checked and the proper paperwork is included

· Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics

· Set up procedures with hospitals to include filling out hospital form and faxing them back

· Review procedure and instructions with the patient

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Knowledge in medical terminology

· Ability to effectively communicate
