Summary: Provide assistance to physician and operate his/her clinic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the medical assistant tech to ensure patients are roomed in a timely manner
• Send out prescriptions per physician orders
• Fill out testing orders per physician orders & explain testing to patients
• Escort patients to check-out
• Check voicemails & enter messages into NextGen
• Return patient calls/tasks, even if only to acknowledge receipt of the voicemail and that an answer is being sought
• Ensure that charts have been checked and the proper paperwork is included
• Prepare bag for travel to satellite clinics
• Set up procedures with hospitals filling out hospital form and faxing them back
• Review procedure and instructions with the patient
