Pima Community College is Hiring an Administrative Assistant 2 - Event Services (Temporary/Part-time) Near Tucson, AZ

The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for the coordination of internal and external calendaring of events district-wide, completing all necessary documentation and following all applicable College policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations and compliance as it relates to area of assignment.

The work schedule for this position is flexible.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs various intermediate paraprofessional duties
  • Provides customer service
  • Schedules appointments and booking for meeting rooms
  • Researches and responds to inquiries from College employees, students, and the general public
  • Provides information regarding College processes and procedures
  • Prepares agreements, work requests, and invoices incorporating customized arrangements for review and approval by the program supervisor/administrator for proper coordination, support, and follow-up for the scheduled use
  • Monitors and ensures the timely submission of all required documentation and reports
  • Serves as the point-of-contact for short-term contracted facilities use by members of the community, including non-profit or for-profit agencies and government officials
  • Resolves general, procedural, and program related issues, concerns and questions
  • Requires an organized work structure and balancing multiple priorities
  • Maintains various databases and spreadsheets
  • Use computers and software application programs
  • May serve as lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction.

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma and
  • Three years of program support experience related to the area of assignment
  • Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License and demonstration of an acceptable driving record

or

  • Candidates who possess similar minimum objective qualifications should describe in detail the education and work experience you regard as establishing the equivalency

Preferred:

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field

Physical Requirements:

Positions in this class typically require: talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions and fine finger movements – using the fingers to manipulate/handle objects such as typing, sorting papers, activating buttons, sorting/separating small parts.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
