We are looking for a Handpack Lead interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our packaging team at PIM’s Pierce Street facility in Somerset NJ.

JOB OVERVIEW

Support Supervisor in running hand pack line coordinating labor and materials in addition to recording productivity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Using M3 to verify current job running and quantity left to produce.
2. Communicating and verifying with warehouse personnel as to what material will be needed to run for the shift.
3. Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
4. Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
5. Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.
6. Organization and verification of labor to achieve maximum output.
7. Generate, verify, and fill out consumption report.
8. Enter and verify all relevant data into M3. Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
9. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
10. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
11. Mark and label containers, container tags, or products
12. Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers
13. Seal containers or materials, using glues, and/or staples
14. Ability to work additional hours as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 15 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills are preferred.
• Willing to be trained.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English is required
