SUMMARY

Works with the Line of Service Leadership to provide primary support for facilitating training and education activities for the Behavioral Health Line of Service programs at Pillars Community Health, including staff onboarding processes, implementation and maintenance of evidence-based practices, and other training topics that support the continued quality of services and professional development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researches, analyzes, and supports implementation of evidence-based practices in behavioral health. Assures that evidence-based practices for populations of focus* are culturally adaptable and support our framework of whole-person, patient-centered care to improve outcomes and change behavior.
  • Conducts ongoing assessments to analyze need and adapt service delivery and training specific to cultural, linguistic, and other needs to improve the quality of the services provided.
  • Ensures resources and materials provided are in the clients’ preferred language.
  • Ensures compliance with the certification requirements for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), and other regulatory and accreditation standards for training requirements.
  • Facilitates trainings, designs workshops, and works with external trainers to ensure consistency in staff trainings and ongoing development of required skills in behavioral health.
  • Oversees the implementation and fidelity monitoring of all evidence-based practices, including direct oversight of the Youth and Family Coordinator and the SMI Coordinator for the CCBHC.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors consistent method of practice for clinical supervision of evidence-based practices for behavioral health
  • Develops and maintains onboarding and training processes for all evidence-based practices and other clinical processes in behavioral health
  • Participates in planning process with the Line of Service leadership team for program development and evaluation, and resource deployment and
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to behavioral health staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to hiring and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance, providing coaching and development (inclusive of providing clinical support, clinical and administrative supervision for direct service work) to enhance professional development and ensure quality services, addressing concerns and resolving problems, and completing administrative documentation as required by the position.
  • Maintains regular and open communication with other supervisors, collaborating to identify and address issues that need to be addressed and strategies for supporting clinical
  • Analyzes and anticipates training needs, develops, and implements didactic series and other training opportunities for students, staff and supervisors based on evidence-based practices.
  • Responsible for evaluating supervisee performance via verbal and written means, both informally throughout the training year and via specified formal
  • Participates in specific program meetings, including required staff, line of service, and organizational meetings, and required trainings, and consultations.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field. LCSW/LCPC/LMFT required. Two years experience in mental health, community-based services, social work, or counseling required with experiences working with clients living with serious mental illness (SMI), with serious emotional disturbance (SED), with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders (COD), or chronic health conditions.

Experience researching, developing, and implementing evidence-based practices is required, inclusive of adapting content based on cultural needs. Experience conducting clinical training/presentations is also required. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role highly preferred.

Language/Culture

Bicultural and Bilingual language fluency (English/Spanish) required.

Other

Must maintain a safe driving record and have current valid Illinois Driver’s License. Personal vehicle needed for transportation to/from home, multiple office locations, and community based clinical work. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable.

*Our populations of focus (POFs) for the CCBHC are (1) Latine adolescents, ages 13-18, experiencing SED, SUD, and COD, with a particular focus on trauma related to immigration, acculturation, and community violence (teen POF); and (2) the general population within our service area who are experiencing SMI, significant SUD, COD and youth with SED (POF). The Latine population comprises 65% of the total population.
